From the United States, American, Delta, United, and Southwest Airlines all fly non-stop to Belize. From Canada, both Air Canada and WestJet fly non-stop to Belize too. There are also non-stop flights to Belize from Central American destinations via Avianca, Copa, TAG (Transpores Aeros Guatemaltecos), and Tropic Air. Flight times range from 30 minutes to five hours.

All international flights into Belize land at the Philip Goldson Airport in Ladyville, located approximately nine miles north of Belize City. The airport is commonly called the “Belize City International Airport.” Be aware that all non-Belizeans must pay a departure tax of $55.50, but this is usually included in the cost of the airfare. If you leave by land, however, you will be required to pay this fee in cash.
Other options for getting to Belize include flying to Cancun in Mexico or Flores in Guatemala and taking a bus into Belize. From Cancun to Belize City, the bus takes approximately 12 hours, but airfare to Cancun can be as much as half the cost of flying directly to Belize.
Once inside the country, there are 19 domestic airfields, including on three islands, that are served by Belize’s two airlines: Tropic Air and Maya Island Air. Four national highways connect Belize City to all major destinations in the country, and most locations can be reached in around three hours.
Flying during peak holiday times like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s is the most expensive, while airfare for trips during the middle of the week are usually the most affordable.
